ఆత్మలోన శివునిన'నువుగా శోధించి,
నిశ్చలముగ భక్తి నిలిపెనేని,
సర్వ - ముక్తుడౌ'ను సర్వంబుఁ తానౌ'ను. వి. 88
ఎరిగిన శివ - పూజ యెన్నడు చెడి పోదు,
మొదల బట్టు పట్టు వదల రాదు,
మొదలు విడిచి గోడ తుదిఁ బెట్ట గల్గునా? వి. 89
చేటు వచ్చెనేని చెడనాడు దైవంబు,
మేలు వచ్చె నేని మెచ్చు దన్ను,
చేటు మేలు తలప చేసిన కర్మము.*[1] వి. 90
కడుపు చిచ్చుచేత, కామా' నలము చేత,
క్రోధ - వహ్ని చేత కుటిల పడక,
నొక్కమనసు తోడనుండిన'ప్పుడె ముక్తి. వి. 91
88. He who seeks aright the God who dwells in the heart, and fixes unalterable faith on him, he shall attain utter absorption; he shall be resolved into the universe. †[2]
89. Worship of God, performed according to knowledge, shall never perish fruitless; never let a man leave the hold he first takes ; can a wall be completed if the foundation be neglected?
90. If misfortune befall him, the sinner reviles the deity; if he meets with good, he lauds himself for it: but evil and good are the result of his own acts.
91. Be not ensnared by the fire of hunger, by the flame of desire, or the heat of anger. If thou maintain one changeless disposition, this is freedom. ‡[3]
