అని స్తుతించిన నది రామలింగనిపద్యముకంటె బాగుగా నున్న దని పెద్దన మొదలగుకవులు సంతసించిన రాజు గారవించెను. అపుడు భట్టుమూర్తి తిమ్మరసుం జూచి రా జీదు రాలోచనంబు గానఁడు. నీప్రోత్సాహంబున కవు లీవిషమాలోచనంబు గావించిరి. నేను నీకు కైవారంబొసంగకుండుట కారణంబుగా వీరి బురస్కరించుకొని నన్ను వంచింపంజూచితివైనను నీవృత్తాంతంబు జెప్పెద విను మని చెప్పినపద్యము.
"శా. గుత్తిం బుల్లెలు గుట్టి చంద్రగిరిలోఁ గూ డెత్తి పెన్గొండలో
హత్తిన్ సత్త్రమునందు వెండిబలుదుర్గాధీశుతాంబూలపుం
దిత్తు ల్మోసి పదస్థు లైనఘనులం దీవించ ....................."
అని మూఁడుచరణములు జెప్పువఱకు తిమ్మరసు దుష్కీర్తిభీతుండై రాయలవారు తాఁబట్టాభిషేకంబు నొనర్చుకొనునపు డిచ్చిన యమూల్యం బగుగారుత్మతరత్న హారంబు కవికంఠంబున నలంకరించిన పూర్తి జేసిననాలవచరణము.
దీవించెదన్
"మత్తారాతియయాతినాగమనుతున్ మంత్రీశ్వరున్ దిమ్మరుస్."
అని దీవించి మఱియును రచించినపద్యము. -
క. అయ్య యనిపించుకొంటివి, నెయ్యంబునఁ గృష్ణరాయనృపపుంగవుచే
నయ్యా నీసరి యేరీ తియ్యనివిలుకాఁడ వయ్య తిమ్మరసయ్యా.
అని కై వారం బొనర్చిన నత్యంతకౌతూహలం బంది యది మొదలు సఖ్యంబుగా నుండి నిరంతరైశ్వర్యంబు లనుభవించుచుండె నని యున్నది.

ఈభట్టుమూర్తింగూర్చి. "Dekkan Poets" అనుగ్రంథములో నొకకొంతగ్రంథము వ్రాయంబడియున్నది. అదియాంగేయభాషయం దుండుటచేత దాని నట్లే యిందుఁ బొందుపఱిచి యాకవి చెప్పినపొరపాటుల నక్కడక్కడ సవరించెదను. ఈగ్రంథము
BHATTU MURTI.
(I) This poet was born in a village called Bhattu Palla in the district of Pulivendle, in the Aeded Districts, he was a distinguished okator, and possessed a critical knowledge of the Sanscrit & Telugu dialects. As the poets of his time were greatly patronized by the sovereigns of various provinces, Bhattu Murti chiefly confined his labours to versification in the vernacular tongue, and the harmony of his numbers were so much admired that ha obtained a great many scholars whom he made proficients in prosody. He in course of time, proceeded to the Court of Kristna Raya, who admiring his talents, retained him as one of his eight celebrated bards; during the life time of this monarch, he composed an epic poem entitled "Narasa Bhupaliyam," or the history of Narasa Bhupal, which was a work of great labour, and much admired by his comtemporaries, and by posterity. After the death of Kristna Rayaloo, he wrote another epic poem call "Vasoo charitra," the subject of which is the loves and nuptials of king Vasoo and the beautiful nymph Gireka; the work was dedicated to king Tirumala, and the invocation of the poem commences in the following manner ː-
The foregoing poem of the Vasoo Charitra was much admired by the contemporaries of Bhattu Murti, and became a model for after poets who composed in the Telugu language. Bhattu Murti was highly rewarded by Tirumala Raya for this and other works that he composed at the command of that monarch, so that he passed his days in peace and happiness until his deatha, which happened at his residence in the sixtieth year of his age.
It runs thusː- old nos 36&37. the two manuscripts are copies of a poem, by one of the Ashta Diggajas at Vijianagaram; there having been eight learned men, so termed, by way of distinction. Timmaraju or by title Bhattu Murti from poetical emiuence, was one of these poets of Krishna Rayer's court. This work, written by him, is entitled after the father of Krishna Rayer and as usual contains the geneology of the patron. Its subject is rhetorical and poetical, on the Laws of the drama, and poetical composition. It is highly esteemed, and regarded as a very superior work.
