TELUGU PROVERBS.
1816. మొండిచేతితోటి మొత్తుకొన్నట్టు.
- Like beating one’s mouth (lamentation) with a maimed hand.
- Doing any thing clumsily.
1817. మొండిచేతివానికి నువ్వులు తిన నేర్పినట్టు.
- Like teaching a man without hands to eat Sesamum seed.
- Attempting impossibilitics.
1818. మొండిముక్కున ముక్కెర వున్నట్టు.
- A nose jewel in a torn nose.
1819. మొండివాడు రాజుకన్నా బలవంతుడు.
- An obstinate person is stronger than a king.
- The power of importunity.
1820. మొక్కపోయిన దేవుడు యెదురుగా వచ్చినట్టు.
- The god he went to worship met him in the way.

1821. మొక్కుబడే లేదంటే, వక్క దాసరికయినా పెట్టుమన్నట్టు.
- As you say you have made no vow, feed at least one Dasari.

1822. మొక్కేవారికి వెరవనా, మొట్టేవారికి వెరవనా.
- Shall I fear those who salute me? or those who rap me with their knuckles?
