1664. మంత్రసాని ముందర మర్మము దాచినట్టు.
- Like covering the body before the midwife

1665. మంత్రాలకు మామిడి కాయలు రాలుతున్నవా.
- Can unripe mangoes be made to drop by magic ?

- Said of excessive leniency or ineffective measures.
1666. మంది యెక్కువయితే మజ్జిగ పలచన.
- If there are more people, the buttermilk will be thinner.
- i. e. more water will be added.
1667. మక్కాకు పోయి కుక్క మలము తెచ్చినట్టు.
- Going to Mekka and bringing back dog’s dirt

1668. మక్ఖీకి మక్ఖీ.
- A fly to a fly. ( Hind.)

1669. మఖ పుబ్బలు వరపయితే, మహత్తయిన క్షామము.
- When there's a drought in Makha or Pubba, a great famine will follow.
- Makha and Pubba are the 10th and 11th lunar mansions.
1670. మఖలో పుట్టి పుబ్బలో పోయినాడు.
- Born in Makha, he died in Pubba.

1671. మఖ వురిమితే, మదురు మీది కర్ర అయినా పండును.
- If Makha thunders, even the millet stalks on the coping of the walls will yield.
- i. e. there will be such fine rain.
