1657. మంచి వానికి మరణమే సాక్షి.

1658. మంచి వానికి మాట్లాడనిదే మందు.
- To a good man silence is reproof.
1659. మంచి వానికే వచ్చెనా మరణ కాకితము.
- Alas! has a death warrant come to a good man?
- Regretting the loss of some good man.
1660. మంచి వారికి మాటే మందు.
- A word is medicine to the wise.
- A word to the wise is sufficient. (Latin)[1]
1661. మంచి వారికి వక మాట, మంచి గొడ్డుకు వక దెబ్బ.
- One word to a good man, one stroke to a good bullock.
- A nod for a wise man, and a rod for a fool.
1662. మంత్రము చెప్ప మల్లుభొట్లు, తినడముకు యెల్లుభొట్లు.
- Mallubhotlu to read the prayers, and Ellubhotlu to eat.
- It was Ellubhotlu's part to read the prayers, but as he was an ignorant man Mallubhotlu officiated for him, while he attended to the eating part of the ceremony.
1663. మంత్రము లేని సంధ్యకు మరి చెంబెడు నీళ్లు.
