709. కోడలికి బుద్ధి చెప్పి అత్త రంకుపోయినది.
- The mother-in-law gave good counsel to her daughter-in-law and went astray herself.
710. కోడలు కొడుకును కంటానంటే, వద్దనే అత్తగారు ఉన్నదా.
- When a daughter-in-law says that she is about to bring forth a son, is there any mother-in-law who says “Don’t”? i.e. wish the child to be a daughter.
- Will any one refuse to receive a benefit ?
711. కోడలు గృహప్రవేశము, అత్త గంగాప్రవేశము.
- The daughter-in-law enters the house (as a bride) and the mother-in law enters the Ganges (dies).

- Sacrificing a pig to save a chicken.
715, కోడి పోయి కొమ్మ యెక్కినట్టు.
- When the fowl flew, it only mounted a branch.
