642. కుడవబోతూ కూరాకు రుచి అడిగినట్టు.
- Like enquiring the flavour of the vegetables when on the point of eating them.
- Want of patience.
643. కుడుములు వండలేని ఆడదీ, కూనరాగము తియ్యలేని మొగవాడూ లేరు.
- There is no woman who cannot cook kudumus, nor man who cannot hum a tune.
- Kudumulu is a common kind of cake.
- Applied to things which are very common.
644. కుప్ప తగలబెట్టి పేలాలు వేయించుకొని తినేవాడు.
- A man who sets fire to the whole heap and begins to eat parched grain.
- The work of a fool.
645. కుప్పలో మాణిక్యము.
- A diamond in a dunghill.
- One worthy amongst many worthless.
- A diamond is valuable though it lie on a dunghill.
646. కుమ్మర ఆవములో గచ్చకాయ వేశినట్టు.
- Like throwing a Gachcha nut into a potter’s kiln.
- (See No. 586—for Gachcha see No. 584.)
- If the nut of this tree be thrown into a kiln, it will burst, and break the pots.
- A great injury done by a slight action.
647. కుమ్మర ఆవములో యిత్తడి ముంత దొరుకునా.
- Will a brass pot be found in a potter’s kiln ?
- A worthy person is not to be found amongst the worthless.
