478. ఒకరిని యిద్దరిని చంపితేనేగాని, వైద్యుడు కాడు.

480. ఒక్క చెయ్యి తట్టితే, చప్పుడు అవునా.
- If you clap with one hand will there be any sound?
- Nothing can be done successfully by a single person.

481. ఒక్కొక్కరాయి తీస్తూ వుంటే, కొండయినా తరుగుతుంది.
- If you remove stone by stone, even a mountain will be levelled.
- You must pluck out the hairs of a horse's tail one by one. (Latin)[3]
- Drop by drop the lake is drained.
482. ఒరగబెట్టి తాగేది చెరిచెరా కంచరవాడు.
- The brazier has spoilt the dish which before I ate out of slantingly (on account of the hole in it).
