2235. ఏకముండం గృహచ్చిద్రం ద్విముండం గౄహనాశనం! త్రిముండం గ్రామనాశంచ చాతుర్ముండంచ పట్టణం! అధవా పంచముండంచ బ్రహ్మ పట్న వినశ్యతి!
One widow and household broils , two widows and ruin to a family, three widows and ruin to a village, four widows and ruin to a city,five widows and ruin to a Brahmapattana.
2236. ఏకాదశినాడు తల అంటుకొంటావేమి అంటే , అది నిత్యవ్రతము నేదే ఆరంభమ అన్నాడట, మర్నాడు తల యెందుకు అంటుకోలేదంటే, నిన్నటితో వ్రతసమాప్తి అన్నాదట.
"What! are you anointing your head on Ekadasi?" said one "That is a daily task, which I have commenced today," replied the other. When asked next day "Why have you not anointed your head?" he said "Yesterday completed my task.' Said in joke of a man who dosent observe the ceremonial laws.
2237. ఏట్లో కలిపిన చింతపండు.

2241. ఏనుక మదిస్తే నెత్తిన మన్ను వేసుకొంటున్నది.
When the elephant is rut, he throws earth on his head.
Pride goes before and shame follows after.
2242. ఏనుగ మీద దోమ వాలితే యెంత బరువు.
If a mosquito light on an elephant, what weight?
2243. ఏనుగల పోట్లాటకు యేంట్రింత రాయభారము.
In the quarrels of elephants, a king-crow the ambassador. Said an insignificant person, who has no influences.
2244. ఏరు అయినా మూడు నేరములు కాస్తుంది.
Even a river will forgive three offenses. Referring to the three times which a man is said so sink before drowning.

2245. ఏరు ఎన్నివంకలు పోయినా, సముద్రంలోనే పడవలెను.
However many twists th river take, it must fall into the see at last.
2246. ఏవూరే యేరామా అంటే, దువ్వూరే దులామా అన్నదట.
"What village [do you come from]? O Etam!" [said the beam] m"From Duvvuru, O beam!" (replied the swape.] An answer given to a foolish question--Duvvuru is the Cuddapah District.
