చెడ్డ వాని మిగులఁ జెరుచును దైవంబు
అడ్డ పడడు వానికా' పదై'న;
చెడిన - చేనుఁజూచి యొడయడు మెచ్చునా ? వి. 68

68. Utterly does the Deity destroy the wicked. God does not interpose if evil befall him. Will the king be pleased at seeing a barren field ?
69. When his passions are redoubled, a man is seized with madness and roams the earth. Cupidity makes a man as restless as a dog.
70. How should fortune dwell in the houses of those who perpetually tell lies ? It is like drawing water in a leaky vessel.
71. The house of a virtuous young woman is orderly, she is like as a light shining in a dark room : The house in which a first wedded wife dwells, is like as the place of divine worship.
- ↑ The rhyme in this line is evidently wrong. Possibly the author wrote భిన్న ఘటము నీరు చన్న చందంబున. Yet many similar blemishes in the present volume must be attributed to the author himself.
