>< .است మూ ( డ వ పు క ర ణ ము 3ど)以 06, of some of those in sympathy with his life-work having unanimously suggested the formation of a corporate body, the RAJAHMUNDRY HITHAKARINI SAMAJ was started with 36 members and was registered as a Company, under Act XXI of 1860, on 28-11-07. The affairs of the Samaj are managed by a Committee of nine members, with the honored Founder as the Life-President. The Samaj has been munificently endowed by its Founder ; who has, with exemplary self-sacrifice, given away, with a duly registered Trust, all his property—the entire savings of a life-time from a very modest income. This property estimated at Rs. 41,500, eonsists of 6,500 rupees in cash, Some houses, and splendid gardens calculated to be the source of a handsome income before long. The institutions entrusted to the Samaj by the Founder are a Widows' Home and a school for young ladies, besi des an Anglo-Telugu weekly, which last has had to be discontinued. Mr. Ch. Lakshminarasimham, an ardent admirer and co-wrker of the Founder, having kindly made over a Lower Secondary School to the Samaj, in 1907, the institution has since been worked up to a complete High School controlled by a small committee appointed by the managing body of the Samaj. The three institutions bolonging to the Samaj are in a promising condition, by the grace of God. 1. The High School, known as the Rajahmundry Hithakarini High School and worked on a Theistic basis, is flourishing. It has on its rolls over four hundred pupils, with ten girls.
