ధర గిరులు జలధుల న్నియు,
పరికింపగ ప్రళయమునను, భస్మా - కృతులౌ
సురలును మునులును జనగా,
నెర యోధలునుండ గలరె నేర్పున వేమా? 236
ఉర్వి వారికెల్లనొ'క్కకంచము బెట్టి,
పొత్తు గుడిపి కులము, పొలియ జేసి,
తలను చెయ్యి బెట్టి, తగ నమ్మ జెప్పరా? వి. 237
గట్టురాళ్ల దెచ్చి, కాళ్ల చేతుల ద్రొక్కి,
కాసె - యులుల చేత, గాసి జేసి,
మొరప - రాళ్ల కెరగు, మొప్పెలనే'మందు! వి. 238
తోలు - కడుపులోన, దొడ్డ వాడుండగ,
రాతి గుళ్లలోన, రాశి బొయ,
రాళ్లు దేవుడై'న, రాసులు మింగవా? వి. 239
236. This earth, with its mountains and seas, shall in the final destruction be all consumed : then shall the gods and the prophets perish, and how shall even the victorious survive? *[1]
237. Place one dish before all the men in the world and let them eat together, abolishing their castes: lay thy hand on their heads, and convince them that their present distinctions are absurd.
238. What can we think of the fools who bring mountainstones together, knock them about with their hands and feet, and after tormenting them with mason's chisels, bow down to the rugged blocks?
239. While he who is alone honourable dwells with your own fleshly bodies, †[2] why should ye heap up offerings in temples made of stone. How can gods made of stone feed on those heaps?
