తనకు జేయు మేలు తా దెలియగ నేర్చు,
నె' లమి తోడ కుక్కయెరుక భువిని;
తనకు జేయు మేలు, తా దెలియగ లేడు,
మనుజుడెంత ఖలుడు! మహిని వేమ! 106
హీన నరుల తోడని,ంతుల తోడను,
పడుచు వాండ్ర తోడ, ప్రభువు తోడ,
ప్రాజ్ఞ జనుల తోడ, బ్రహ్మఘ్న - జనులతో,
వైపు దెలిసి పలుక వలయు వేమ. 107
అధిక జనుల తోడ నాప్తుల తోడను,
పరువు గురుతె' రింగి పలుకకు' న్న,
వ' చ్చు చెడ్డతనము, హెచ్చుగా గాంభీర్య -
హాని జెందు తనకున' పుడు, వేమ.
106. A dog instinctively recognizes the kindness shewn to it; how base is the man who feels not the good that is done to him.
107. When you talk with the base or with women, with youths or with a ruler, with the wise or with a sacrilegious wretch, be on your guard and speak discreetly.
108. Whether you speak with the great or with your companions respect and consideration are equally necessary, or evil will befall you, and you will lose your respectability.
