వారెక్కఁడనుందురు ? మనమతనికేదో యిల్లియ్యవలెనుగాని, మనకువా రవిధేయులుగా నున్న పక్షమున వారు దానిహక్కును కలిగియుండరు. అటువంటి షరతుమీఁద నియ్యవలెను. నాయుద్దేశమిది. అట్లు చేయుఁడు. అతనిని మరలపిలిపించి వివాహమున కేర్పాటుచేయుఁడు. ఈ పెండ్లికూఁతురు కొఱకును తల్లికొఱకును మనము విశేషవ్యయము చేసితిమి. ఇది మనముచేసినయెడల ముందు వివాహముల నిమిత్తమయి మనము శ్రమపడ నక్కఱలేదు. ఇష్టమున్న యెడల మనము మానివేయవచ్చును. ఇందునుబట్టి యీవిషయమై పెండ్లికొమారుని ఉత్తరమిమ్మని యడుగుటకూడ ఆవశ్యకముకాదు. అయినను మీరీవఱకే యట్లుచేసితిరికాన పోనిండు." సిద్ధమయిన వివాహమునకు భంగముకలుగుట కిదియే ప్రథమముకాదు. చెన్న పట్టణమున కొకసాఐ నేను వెళ్ళియుండినప్పు డక్కడకూడ నొకవివాహమున కీలాగుననే భంగముకలిగెను. చెంచలరావు పంతులుగారి ముద్రాపత్ర

I have received your letter stating that you have invited Mr.Lister etc., to the marriage, but as the bridegroom disappointed, the marriage did not take place. I know such disappointments will happen. You stated in your letter that you have taken a letter from a man on the condition of not claiming for a house. If we won't give a house, where will they be? We must give him some house, but they will not have possession of it if they be disobedient to us. We must give on such condition. This is my object. Please do so. Please get the man again and arrange for marriage. We have spent much for this bride and her mother. If we do this, we need not take trouble in the future for marriages. We can cease if we wish. Owing to this understanding it is not necessary to ask even the bridegroom to give a letter on the subject. However as you had done it, it is no matter.Yours truly,
