The library lovers were much worried about the happenings and they sought the help of Sri Ch. Bhavana Rao garu, to rescue the library from the clutches of the untoward elements. He promptly agreed to take up the responsibility; tried his best to improve the situation and when all the efforts failed, fought a legal battle which lasted for 10 years won the case and got them evicted from the place, restoring the library to its original grandeur. From then on he took the rains of management and ran it in his own inimitable style. He improved the book strength, got the buildings repaired and conducted with grace, the usual literary and cultural activities.

In 1975, at the completion of 60 years of existence "Vajrotsavam" was performed and a number of Telugu luminaries like Sri Pathuri Nagabhushanam garu, M. R. Apparao, Gangadhara Rama Rao, a Scion of royal family, C. Narayana Reddy, Sri Bhashyam Appalacharyulu, Madhunapanthula Satyanarayana Sastry, Vemparala Suryanarayana Sastry were honoured which brought glory to the library.

He got a shopping complex built by the contributions from philanthropic public to improve the revenue to library. He also got a small building built at the completion of '1000' months, naming it "Sahasra Chandra Darsana Bhavan" at the back of the main building. The days were passing peacefully and as the fate would have it, one of the buildings in the year 2000, collapsed and the other was also threatening to do the same sending the library lovers jittery, Shaken and disheartened.

Things will not stay static, They seek and find new avenues. At this crucial time, came on to the sene Sri Badam Madhavarao, a philanthropist par excellance, who returned from Bangalore to his native place Pithapuram wiht the intention fo doing some servive to it. When Sri Bhavana Rao garu, with his penchant for achieving his objectives, met him alongwith other members with a request to construct a building to the library, he gladly accepted and constructed the present building with his own funds to the great satisfaction and happiness of the library lovers. The library with the help of Madhava Rao extended the shopping complex increasing the revenue to the library relieving the management of the financial constraints. After Bhavana Rao garu passed away it was thought proper to make his memory a living one, and in his memory a hall was built over the main building naming it' Chelikani Bhavana Rao Sabha Sadan' Sri Yarlagadda Laxmi prasad helped construction of a dais in the open to fecilitate the conduction of public meetings. The library houses 25000 books to its credit from all fields of knowledge in earlier days Rao Ramayamma Rao garu of Laxminarasapuram estate gave her entire library to this, much to the pleasure of book lovers. K.V. Kondala Rao, Dr. Aluri Vijayalaxmi, R.v. Subbarao donated their libraries greatly improving the book strength Sri Abbireddy Ramachandrareddy gave books for the use of students going to competitive examinations. The library is now self sufficient and entering its 100th year with pride and glory much to the delight of the book lovers of the place and it is indeed hoped it will flourish through the centuries a head with the love and affection of the public and blessing of the wise. Library and the book are the most sacred. And the very life of the Progressive society.
