2180. ఆడపిల్లను కన్నవారు అయిదు బిరుదులు తెగకోసుకోవలెను.
Those who beget female children must cut off five of their badges of honor.. A man though raised to a distiguished position in the world has yet to lhumble before his sons-in-law for the sake of his daughters, who might otherwise not to be well treated.
2181. ఆడేకాలు పాడే నోరూ వూరకుండవు.
A dancing foot and a singing mouth are never quiet.

2182. ఆత్మకు ద్రోహంచేస్తే, అప్పుడే అడుగుతుంది.
If you cheat your life, it will then and there ask for [food].
2183. ఆమంట యీమంట, బ్రహ్మణార్ధం కదుపు మంట.
[Talk of] that burning this burning, this Brahmanaartha is belly burning. Said by a greedy vaidika brahman. Brahmanaartha is an inviration issued to two or three brahmans on the anniversary of the death of a relative.
2184. ఆ మాట అనిపింతామా మామగారా
Shall we have that word said? O father-in-law! When a Komati was dying and the word "Narayana" had to be pronounced in his eara, all his relations tried to shrink this disgracable duty. The allusion in the proverb is to a proposal made by one of them that the taks should be imposed upon the oldest man present.
2185. ఆముదపు విత్తులు, ఆణిముత్యాలు అవునా.
Will Castor oil seeds become fine pearls?
