I have read with much pleasure and appreciation Chaganty Seshayya's "Andhra Kavi Tarangini” It is ;: remarkably fine contribution to the History of our literature and our country. He has taken trouble to study the latest archaeological material available and oake his treatment of the different Poets as scientifically accurate as possible.
... Sri Seshayya seems to be fitted both by his l:nowledge of the subject and his scientific spirit to 1 resent the Andhra world with an authoritative Lives of Andhra poets.
He does not mix up Puranas with history and legend with truth and that is a rare and refreshing feature.

Research into the records of the past brings forth continually new facts on the history of literature and the present book is the first of many volumes which the author proposes to bring out in an attempt to write a new history of Telugu poets. According to earlier historians of Telugu literature, the maximum number of Telugu poets worth the name did not exceed three hundred and fifty.
