మీరట్లు చేయవచ్చును. నేను మిమ్ము మాయింటనైనను పెట్టుకొనెదను ; లేదా మీ నిమిత్తమయి ప్రత్యేకముగా నొక యిల్లయినను కుదిర్చెదను. ఎట్లయినను నేను మీతో భోజనముచేసి మిమ్ము బ్రాహ్మణునిగా నంగీకరించుటకు నాకాక్షేపణయుండదు." [1]
మాకప్పుడు వేసవికాలపు సెలవులారంభ మగును గనుకను, అప్పుడు పోయినయెడల మఱికొంతకాల మధికముగానుండి యుపన్యాసము లియ్యవచ్చును గనుకను, నేనును మెయినెలలో పోవుటయే మంచిదనియెంచి యానెలమొదట ప్రథమవివాహ దంపతులతోడఁ గూడవచ్చెదనని వ్రాసితిని. దానికి మరల 1882 వ సంవత్సరము ఏప్రిల్ నెల 26 వ తేదిని పంతులుగా రిట్లు బదులువ్రాసిరి -
"ప్రియమిత్రుఁడా !
రఘునాధరావుగారేదో యుపనయనము నిమిత్తము మెయి మూఁడవ తేదిని స్వగ్రామమునకువెళ్లి, ఆనెల 20 వ తేదివఱకును తిరిగిరారు. మీసెలవు

I hope that my telegram in reply to your letter will not disappoint you. Raghoonadharao who, you know, takes great interest in the cause we have taken up, has issued a circular to all his friends inviting their co-operation.
He thinks that if we precipitate matters we may lose the support of many whose aid will be importance to us. He therefore asked me to beg you to defer your journey till 30th April next. I hope that you will not misconstrue our policy and regard it as a partial retraction of your promise to support you. If you however are resolved upon coming here at once, you may do so, and I will receive you either at my own house, or find a separate lodging for you, In either case, I shall have no objection to eat with you and recognize you as a brahmin............"
