వెళ్లి వచ్చు నాడు మళ్లి పోయే నాడు ;
వెంట రాదు, ధనము కొంట బోడు ;
తాను యేడ బోనొ ధనమే' డ బోవునో ? వి. 47
పుట్టు - బిత్తలి వలె పోవు - బిత్తలి వలె ;
తిరుగు - బిత్తలి వలె, దేహి ధరణి
యున్న నాటి'కై' నను' పకారి గాలేడు. వి. 48
కాశి బోదున' నుచు గడకట్టగానే' ల ?
వాశి - తీర్థములను వగవనే' ల ?
దోషకారికె' ట్లు దొరుకురా యాకాశి' వి. 49
ఇనుము విరిగెనే' ని యినుమారు ముమ్మారు
కాచి యతక నేర్చు కమ్మరీడు ;
మనసు విరిగెనే' ని మరి యంట నేర్చునా ? వి. 50

47. When he departs this life his riches follow him not, neither when he returns in another transmigration ; when he again dies he carries not his wealth with him : where does he go and where does his wealth go ?
48. Naked was he born and naked does he depart. He that is in the body wanders the earth as though naked : Long as he live he cannot become a doer of good.
49. Why make projects, saying, I will go to Casi (Benares)? why long after the noble holy springs? How shall that Benares (heaven) be attained by the evil doer?
50. Though iron break twice or thrice, the smith knows how to heat and weld it. If the spirit break who shall restore it ?
