నంటనీ' కప్రాప్తి వెంట దిరుగు;

పరగ జలకమా డి, పట్టె నామము దీర్చి,
నీరు - కావి పంచె, నెరయ గట్టి,
వార - కాంత జూచి, వ్రతమె'ల్ల మరుచు రా. వి. 263
మనసు నిల్ప లేని మాయ - విరక్తులు,
మనసు పడుదురొ'క్క మగువ మీద
యిట్టి వ్యర్థ జన్మమీ' బ్రతుకే' టికి? వి. 264
తొడల మెరుపు జూచి, తోరంపు కుచములు, *[1]
వార కొప్పు గలుగు వనిత జూచి, †[2]
విటుడు నిలుచు నె'ట్లు విరహా'గ్ని జొరకును? వి. 265
262. Wherever you roam, whatever toils you undergo: your fate is unalterable and still follows you: though the land, you wander in be new to you, you remain the same.
263. After religiously bathing, and drawing the line and streak in his forehead and trimly putting on a tinted vest, should he chance to see a courtezan, he forgets all his Vows!
264. Those false ascetics who are unable to stay their heart, let their thoughts dwell on a woman: how unprofitable is their life ! to what end were they born?
265. When he beholds the beauty of her form, and her flowing tresses, how can the lover abstain from loving it beauteous woman?
