కంటి కంటిమ' నుచు, కర్మా'ధికారంబు,
వెంట బట్టి చెడును, వెర్రి జనుడు,
బట్ట బయిట ముక్తి బాటించి చూడరో! వి. 207
తాను విమలుడై'న, తన గుణమంతయు,
శివునికీ'ని గురువు, చెడుగు గురువు,
గుడ్డి గుర్రమె'క్కి, గుడి దిర్గిన'ట్లౌను. వి. 208
జార - పురుషు మీద, పద్భక్తి సలుపుచు,
పతికిని చ్చకంబు, బడయు భంగి,
పరము కొరకు యోగి, పాటించు దేహంబు. వి. 209
తనువు లోన జీవ - తత్వమె'రుంగక,
వేరె కలద' టంచు వెదుక నే'ల,
భానుడుండ, దివ్వె బట్టి వెదుక రీతి. వి. 210
207. The fool says " I know, I have learnedǃ" he slavisly follows the creed of works. He cannot see the truth when it is plainly revealed to him.
208. The teacher who has in hisown esteem become pure, and yet has not devoted his entire heart to God, is the vilest of instructors: he islike him who should attempt to ride the ring on a blind horse.
209. Like as a woman who fixes her heart on a strange man, treats her husband with wheedling fondness; so does the devotee nourish his body - not for its own sake, but with a view to attaining the next world.
210. Ignorant that the living principle exists in your body, why do you search imagining that it is to be found elsewhereǃ ye are like one who, while the sun shines, should search with a lamp.
