o:3_o స్వీ య చ రి త, ము السفة పలువిధముల క్లాఘించుచు వచ్చిరి. ఆకాలమున కృష్ణామండలములోని బృందావనపురమునందు ప్రకటింపఁబడుచుండిన పురుపార్థప్రదాయినీ పత్రిక פרסי శుద్ధాంగ్రో త్తరరామాయణములోని పద్యములను కొన్నిటిని ప్రకటించి వాని క్రింద 187ఒవ సంవత్సరము మెయి నెలలో వ్రాసిన యభిప్రాయములోని కొన్ని పంక్తుల నిందుదాహరించుచున్నాను. • ఈ పద్యములు అచ్చతెలుఁగుభాషయందు మధురమైన కదళీపాక మున నాతికఠినముగా పదగుంభనయును యుక్తి చమత్కారములును గలిగి రసయుక్తమగునటుల బహుసరసముగ రచింపఁబడినవి. కవిత్వము బవూు జాతీయము"గాను, మృదువుగాను, సరసముగాను, ఉన్నదని ఇచ్చటి Rూపه పండి తులును శాత్రజ్ఞలును కవీశ్వరులును వక్కాణించియున్నారు. నిశ్చయ ముగా నిది సరసమయిన పండిత కవిత్వము.” “The above beautiful verses (from Andhra Uttara Ramayanam) composed with propriety and taste in pure Telugu Language, which emanated from the poetical genius of Kandukuri Viresalingam Garu (who has also a fair knowledge of English) are worthy of praise from all who have: any taste for poetry. They are written sweetly in a superior kind of flowing and pleasing style. So consider our pundits here, and we add that if all the works (named above) of our young poet be published, they form an interesting and a very good addition to our refined sweet Telugu Literature. They also reflect much credit on their able author in these days when original Telugu works of standard merits (cither in Poetry or prose) are of so rare a production.
