Preface
The magnum opus of Sri Adlbliatta Narayana Das. 6 Navarasa Tarangini" was originally printed in 1922, 500 copies only which were all distributed by Mr. Das to his friends and admirers. This book was not available for reading public for the last Many years.
The idea of reprinting of this book was initiated by Dr. P. S. R. Appa Rao M. A ; PhD., the then Director, Telugu Academy, Hyderabad & his ambition was to divert some funds left over from the A. N. Das centenery Celebration Committee, (a little over Rs. 2000). Eventually this stupendous task of reprinting this great book was taken up by me, a year back. The original sponsors, who facilitated this task by Initially providing funds to begin this work are ( I) Andhra Pradesh Sahitya Academy who were kind enough to grant a sum of Rs. 1 500. (2) The Secretary Adibhatta Narayanadas Centenary celebration committee Sri Mamidipudi Anandam. M. P. and Chartered Accountant Hyderabad who was kind enough to spare the balance of a little more.tean Rs. 2000/- left over after Sri Das's Centenary celebrations in 1965 in its Bank account. (3) Rotary Club Pathankot, who came forward to bear the expenses of binding and promised a decent donation under their community Service programme.
My thanks ure specially due to these three bodies who lessend my task in bringing out this useful and great book which is presently out of public reach. Several other friends also have come forward to help the cause and I am thankful to each one of them even though space does not permit me to mention their names individually.
Trust this book will adore the hands of general and literary public interested in the books of Shakespeare & Kalidasa & evince greater interest in making them go deeper in the study of the works of the two world poets-Kindred Souls.
