వేదకాలపు స్త్రీలు
నేటి హిందూసంఘము నాందోళనపరుచుచున్న స్త్రీల వారసత్వము అధికారములు వర్ణాంతర వివాహములు, మొదలగు ననేక విషయములలో వేదకాలపుస్త్రీల స్థితినిగురించి ఈగ్రంధము చాల ఉపయోగకరములగు విషయముల దెల్పుచున్నది. వివాహాస్పదములగు విషయముల్యందిరుపక్షముల వారి వాదనలుగూడ సంగ్రహముగ సూచింపబడెను. ప్రాచీనార్య సంప్రదాయాముల నెరుగగోరువారికీ గ్రంధము చాల నుపయోగకరముగ నుండుననుట నిస్సంశయము.

Mr. Purushottam makes a comprehensive survey of the conditions of women in Vedic India. Every aspect is so well studied that the book is bound to prove an authoritative and reliable wor/k on the subject. Mr. Purusliottam has clone well to quote verbatim the stanzas from the Vedas and the other texts and to give below each its meaning, so that there may be no ambiguity regarding his own position and the grounds on which it is based. Wherever it is a case of surmise or indirect inference, he has given 'the reasons for the conclusions he has adopted.
