నావంక కన్ను లెఱ్ఱచేసిచూచుచు నేదో దౌర్జన్యము జరగించుట కుద్యుక్తుఁడయి యుండినట్టు కనఁబడెను. ఆసంగతిని కనిపెట్టి మమ్ము తాంబూలములకు పిలిచిన గృహస్థుని మనుష్యులాతనిని పట్టుకొని బలవంతముగా వెలుపలకు లాగుకొనిపోయిరి. అతఁడారాత్రి మద్యపానమువలని మత్తులోనుండి నట్టు నాకు కనఁబడినది. నాటిరాత్రి జరగిన వృత్తమును సహితము నేను పారిశుద్ధ్య సంఘవారికి తెలియఁజేసితిని. అందుమీఁద వారా వైద్యశాలా సహాయుని మందలించి మఱియొకచోటికి మార్పవలసినదని చెన్న పట్టణము వైద్యశాలా ముఖ్యాధికారికి వ్రాసిరి. మావైద్యశాలాధికారి (Civil Surgeon) తన క్రింది యుద్యోగస్థునికి తోడుపడి యతఁడు నన్ను లోపలికి రాకుండఁజేయుట య యుక్తముకాదని యతని వర్తనమును పోషించెను. అప్పుడు సీ. నాగోజీరావు పంతులుగారు పురపారిశుద్ధ్య సంఘమున కధ్యక్షుఁడుగా నుండెను. నేను చెన్న పట్టణమునకు వితంతువివాహ సమాజపక్షమున చందాలు పోగుచేయుటకయి పోయియుండినప్పుడు నాగోజీరావు పంతులుగారు 1885 వ సంవత్సరము మెయినెల 19 వ తేదిని నాకిట్లు వ్రాసిరి.
