(కొంతకాలమైనతరువాత శిష్యుఁడు (రాయిసాహెబు) తపాలా యుద్యోగమును మానుకొన దలంచెనుగాని గురు వంగీకరింపలేదు. పశ్చిమోత్తర పరగణాలకు పోస్టుమేష్టరు జనరల్ పనియైనప్పుడు మరల నాతఁడు గురువుపాదములపైఁబడి తానుద్యోగమును మానుకొని పూర్తిగాఁ గాలమునంతను నధ్యాత్మతత్వవిచారమునందే గడుపుటకు ననుజ్ఞ నిమ్మనివేడుకొనఁగా మరల గురువు తిరస్కరించెను. నీబ్రహ్మజ్ఞానాభివృద్ధికి నీయుద్యోగవ్యాపార మడ్డురాదని గురువు చెప్పెను. అందుపై నాతఁడాగ్రా విడచి క్రొత్త యుద్యోగమునకై అలహాబాదునకుఁ జనెను. అచ్చట నుపయోగకరములగు పలుమార్పులను గలిగించి తనయుద్యోగమును మిక్కిలి జయప్రదముగా నొనరించెను.) దీనినిబట్టి మనగురువులు బ్రహ్మజ్ఞానమునకు సంగపరిత్యాగ మవసరము లేదని
