బ్రహ్మమతము - ఈశ్వరవాది.

గాక క్రైస్తవులు మహమ్మదీయులు మున్నగువారి విగ్రహారాధక కృత్యములుకూడ నిందుఁ బ్రవేశించినవి. క్రైస్తవులవలె మోక్షస్నానము చేయుట మహమ్మదీయులవలె చంద్రరేఖను పూజించుట మున్నగు క్రియలు జరుపఁబడినవి. ఇది బ్రహ్మసమాజమతముయొక్క పరిశుద్ధాస్తికతయు నౌన్నత్యమును.
హోమములు ధూపములు దీపమయ నైవేద్యములు ధ్వజారోహణములు మొదలగునవి హిందువులలోని యల్పబుద్ధులకున్నట్టె వీరికిని గలవుగాని హిందువులలో జ్ఞానులకుసమస్తలోకపూజ్యమైన వేదాంతముకలదు. ఇట్టి వేదాంతము మన బ్రాహ్మసామాజిక సోదరులకు గలదా? లేదు. లేదు. ముమ్మాటికినిలేదు. ఈవిషయమై సత్యవాదిని యిట్లు నుడువుచున్నది.
'India has had Dwaita, Adwaita, Visistadwaita and other systems of philosophy, systems so clearly worked out that they have become the wonder of the world. We may say, philosophy is not religion, true. dut we cannot but admit that philosophy is the rational of faith. We are dissatified with the existing faith we are dissatisfied with the existing philosophies. What is then the definite faith that we offer to our brethren? What is the philosophy of our faith? If we say. when these questions are put to us Pray, & the truth will be revealed to you & you will be able to realise it more & more, we will be only doing injustice to the intellectual advancement we have received and setting a priem upon the intelligonce of others.'
