భాగ్యవంతురాలు పరుల యాకలి దప్పి,
దెలిసి, పెట్ట నేర్చుఁ' దీర్చ నేర్చు,
తనదు దుష్ట - భార్య తన యాకలిని గాని *[1]
పరుల యాకలె' రుగద' రయ వేమ. 109
మనసు లోనను'న్న మమతల'న్నియుఁ గోసి,
దృఢము జేసి మనసు దేట పరచి,
ఘటము నిల్పు వాడు, ఘతనర - యోగిరా. వి. 110
పచ్చ విల్తుచేత గ్రచ్చర జనులె'ల్ల
తచ్చనా' డ బడిరి ధరణి లోన,
కులజుడె'వ్వడిందుఁ గుల - హీనుడె'వ్వడు? వి. 111
కాగల పనులె'ల్ల గాకె' టు బోవును!
కాని పనులు కానె కావు భువిని,
మహిమ వేరె యుండ మనతోడను'న్నదా? వి. 112
109. A lucky woman perceives the hunger and thirst of others; she helps them to food and satisfies them ; but your unlucky senseless wife considers no one's hunger but her own.
110. He who understands all the secrets of his heart, who has cut off his passions, and purified himself; he, who restrains his body, this is the true saint.
111. By Cupid, the green-bowed god, are all men in the world suddenly deluded, who then in this respect is the noble, who is the abject?
112. How should all that is destined to happen, fail of occurring? that which is not doomed to us shall never befall us? The ruling power is independent of ourselves.†[2]
