విన వలెనె'వ్వరు చెప్పిన;
వినినంతనె తమక - పడక వివరింప వలెన్:
విని కని వివరము దెలిసిన
మనుజుడు పో నీతి - పరుడు, మహిలో వేమా. 143
ఈ కపట నాటకంబును,
ఈ కపటపు చదువుల'న్ని యింపు దలిర్పన్
ఏ కపటా'త్ముడు సేసెనొ,
యా కపటా'త్మునకు మ్రొక్కి, యలరుము వేమా. 144
ఎండ వేళ చీకటే' కమై యున్నట్లు,
నిండు కుండ నీరు నిలిచిన'ట్లు,
దండిని బరమా'త్మ తత్వంబు దెలియరో! వి. 145

143. Whoever speaks, hear him; while listening, be not wroth, but examine it well, with discrimination:*[1] if, by listening and viewing, he discover the truth, (go to) a man shall become excellent in wisdom.
144. Him, the hidden spirit, who created this well contrived mystic dance, and delights in these recondite studies;†[2] worship that inscrutable spirit, and rejoice in him, O Venus !
145. Like as when the sun shines clearly, and darkness hides itself;‡[3] and as when clear water fills a vase; so fully and clearly let us com prehend the essence of the supreme spirit.
- ↑ * The sense would appear to require వివేకముతో if the metre admitted instead of vivarimpa; but the verse appears in only one of my manuscripts. The last line was written thus : మనుజుడయానీతి, &c., which gives no clear meaning.
