స్వానుభూతి లేక, శాస్త్ర - వాసనల చే,
సంశయంబు చెడదు సాధకునకు;
చిత్ర - దీపమునను జీఁకటి చెడన'ట్లు. వి. 115
శాంతమున సకల కార్యము
సంతోషంబునను బొందు; సత్యము జయమౌ;
పంతము చెల్లును; ధర్మజు-
డెంతే'సి ప్రయాసముల జయించెను, వేమా! 116
ఉర్వి - జనులు, పరమ - యోగీశ్వరునిఁ జూచి,
తెగడు వారు గాని, తెలియ లేరు
అమృతమా'ది రుచుల హస్తమే' మె'రుగును? వి. 117

115. Without personal experience, the mere savor of the scripture will not remove the fears of the aspirant ; *[1] as darkness is never dispelled by a mere painted flame.
116. By gentleness is every object pleasantly obtained: truth shall become victorious : our vow shall be accomplished. How great were the difficulties overcome by the gentle Dharma-Raz ! †[2]
117. When the sons of earth see the holy saint ‡[3] they revile him, but cannot understand him. Can the hand discern ambrosia from other tastes ?

The relative senses of the three words (with their numerous derivatives) may be recollected by the following hexameter : Sadhaca, Sadhana, Sadhyam, Ego, calamusque, liberque. Or we might read, Sadhaca, Sadhana, Sadhyam, Scriptor, penna, libellus.
