          ఉన్న సరికి మనుజుడు' పకారి గాలేక,
          కన్ను గనక నె'ల్ల గర్వములను,
          దీనులై' న వారి దిగువాయిగా జూచి,
          పరము గనక నూత బడును, వేమ. 126

          రోగియైన వాడు రోగినె' రుంగును;
          రోగిన' రసి చూచి రూడి గాను,
          రోగికి' డిన వాని, రాగి బంగారౌను. వి. 127

          ఎదుటి తన బలంబునెంచుకో నేరక,
          దీకొని చలముననె' దిర్చెనే'ని,
          యెలుగు పంజుసేవకే' ర్పడు చందమౌ. వి. 128

          ఓగు బాగె' రుగని యొట్టి మూడ- జనంబు
          లి' ల సుధీ - జనములనెంచుటె'ల్ల,
          మృగపు*[1] తోడ, కుక్కమొరగిన సామ్యమౌ. వి. 129

126. If a man in this life be not a doer of good; it through pride he cannot see with his eyes—if he look upon the poor man as beneath him, he shall never see heaven, but shall fall into the pit.

127. The sick man feels for the sick; and verily when he views the patient, the copper he gives him shall turn to gold.

128. If, ignorant of his own powers, and those of his opponent a man blusters and indulges in wrath, he is like a bear performing the torch dance, in which he will of course be burnt.

129. A fool who knows not right from wrong, if he passes a judgment upon wise men, is like a dog barking against a lion.
