ఎవ్వరె' రుగకుండనె'ప్పుడు బోవునో?
పోవు జీవమ'ట్ల బొంది విడిచి,
యంత మాత్రమునకున'పకీర్తినె' రుగక,
విరగఁ బడును నరుడు వెర్రి వేమ? 119
తనువు విడిచి తాను తర్లి పోయెడు వేళ,
తనదు భార్య సుతులు తగిన వార
లొ'క్కరైననేగరు' సురు మాత్రమె కాని,
తనదు మంచి తోడు తనకు, వేమ. 120
పూర్వ వాసన గల పుణ్యా - త్ముని కలిమి
యూట చెలమ రీతి నూరునెప్పు
డెందరికినొ సంగనె'ప్పటి యట్లుండు. వి. 121
119. This soul *[1] will depart ; it will pass away, and leave the body one day or other unknown to any one ː he is a madman who, unconscious of the degradation he shall meet in death, is puffed up with pride.
120. When he quits the body and departs, neither his wife, sons nor connections will one of them follow him; nothing but the soul †[2] will then remain; and the good he has done will be his only possession.
121. The wealth of him who is virtuous, and retains a consciousness of his former births, shall flow continually like a wellspring. To how many soever he gives, he shall still remain wealthy.
