దానికి లక్ష్మీనరసింహముగా రింగ్లీషున నీక్రింది ప్రత్యుత్తరమును బంపిరి. -
"Sir,
In reply to your registered letter dated 11th Inst and which reached me on the 12th inst. I have to say that on enquiring I find that what is stated in the letter is not true
I have further to inform you that the letter under reply contains libellous and defamatory statement and I learn that yourself and one or two of your men have been making such disparaging statement, and that unless sufficient apology is made within a fortnight from this day, I shall be compelled to proceed against you and your men according to law.

(అయ్యా ! 11 వ తేదిగలట్టియు 12 వ తేదిని నాకు చేరినట్టియు మీ రిజిష్టరు ఉత్తరమునకు బదులుగా ఆయుత్తరములో చెప్పఁబడినది నిజముకాదని నేను విచారణమీఁద కనుగొన్నట్టు నేను చెప్పవలసియున్నది. అంతేకాక నేనుబదులిచ్చుచున్న (మీ) యుత్తర మపవాద గర్భితమయినట్టియు మాననష్య కరమయినట్టియు వచనమును కలిగియున్నదని నేను మీకు తెలుపవలసియున్నది. మీరును మీమనుష్యు లొకరిద్దఱును అట్టి పరిభవకరమైన మాటలను చెప్పుచున్నారని నేను వినుచున్నాను. ఈదినము మొదలుకొని పక్షములోపల చాలినంత క్షమార్పణము చేయనిపక్షమున, మీమీదను మీమనుష్యులమీఁదను న్యాయశాస్త్రప్రకారము నేను చర్య జరపవలసిన వాఁడనగుదును. రాజమహేంద్రవరము 16 వ మెయి 1886.
