వైరాగ్యశతకములకే వచ్చును. ఈ రెంటికినడుమ శృంగారశతకము లుండును.
శతకములయందు సాధారణముగాఁ గవి తనయిష్టదైవమును గాని, పోషకుఁడగుప్రభువునుగాని, సంబోధించిచెప్పుచున్నట్లు ప్రతిపద్యముచివర నిర్ధిష్టనామమును జేర్చును. "వేణుగోపాలబాల" యనికాని “దాశరథీకరుణాపయోనిధీ" యనికాని; "కృష్ణభూపతిలామ!” "వేంకటమంత్రీ” అనికాని చేర్చుచుండును. నూఱుపద్యములచివరను నీవిధముగనే చేర్చును. దీనినే మకుట మనుచున్నాము. ఈమకుటము చేర్చుపద్దతి సంస్కృతమునందును ఇంగ్లీషు పాటలయందును క్వాచిత్కముగఁ గనఁబడుచున్నది.
(1)ఆంగ్లేయమునను సంస్కృతమునను మకుటమున్నవి చూపెదను. థోమ్‌స౯ వ్రాసిన 'Rule Britania;' బరన్సు వ్రాసిన 'My heart's in the High lands;' రెజినాల్డు హీబరువ్రాసిన 'God provideth for the marrow;' మూరువ్రాసిన 'Oft in the silly night;' క్యాంబెల్లు వ్రాసిన ' The Irish Harper & the Dog నందును మకుటము లున్నవి.
