I have some knowledge of Pandit Batavadhani Challapilla Venkata Susiri's poetic composition in Telugu, and consider thern to be of high merit. They indicate an extraordinary command of both Telugu and Sanskrit; and their linguistic agguna, and easy flow are quite striking. His power of and enjoying true poetry is also notewoutham power which m KRLS ducing as well as appreciating T i to make hima very worthy and useful teacher of telugu ta Colleges where that language and its literature are taught. He is both rational and critical, and is in no way an old-fationed Pandit

I am sincerely glad to record my impressions of M. & Ky Venkata Sastruln. I have read some of his pablished works with to less profit than pleasure. This morning he came to see me and I have spent over three houre with hiar, during wbieb ke recited to me a great toany from his large store of verses still in M. 9. form. He is one of three or They markedly display his versatile powers, four of his abilities I have come across these many years. Great as are his prodigious memory ADd the scoutariety of his extempore versitication, which many others have admiringly testified to, weat I specially Talue is his extensir , profound and accurate scholar, ship in San krit and Telugu.
