memorative Volume, New Delhi.)

This Dissent Note of Gurajada was first published in 1914 by Vavilla Venkateswara Sastri.

While publishing this present edition, the editors who had painstakingly and meticulously screened through the 1914 edition had felt it right to correct few printing errors, make few changes in the font and subjoin some missing nomenclature; all these changes without hurting the original text of Gurajada, for the better understanding of the readers.

In the Dissent Note, Gurajada had referred certain persons; some of their surnames, some by their short or pet names and some by their second names. The Editors of this edition preferred to give the complete names of those persons referred for the clearer understanding of the readers.

Sri Gurajada quoted some of Butterworth's inscriptions in his dissent note in support of his views. The editors on verification with the original text of Butterworth's inscriptions found that some of those inscriptions were printed incorrectly in the first edition of 1914. The editors corrected those errors in this edition.

At many places in the 1914 edition, the editors found many paragraphs printed in italics for no obvious reason they could conceive. They were restored to normal font.

In fine, it is assured that the editors had put in their best efforts to make this edition of Gurajada's Dissent Note, flawless, plain and clearly understandable for the readers even while retaining the original letter and spirit of Gurajada.

The Publishers and the editors wish to express in this connection, their sincere gratitude to Prof. B. Kesavanarayana, Visakhapatnam who had provided them with a copy of 1914 edition of Gurazada's Dissent Note and helped in completing this stupendous work.
