"...To publish a library journal bilingually is something of considerable interest. Obviously it must be of value to the Indian librarian to have his magazine in a principal language of his own country. The English articles strike me as being very good work indeed one expected the little sermon from Mr. Ranganathan to be good, because all his work is good, and I notice his Reference Librarian has produced a most readable and really attractive account of some of our real difficulties. I wish you every success with the magazine and good fortune to the Andhra Desa Library Association. May it achieve the support for its ideals that I feel sure it deserves...

(ఆంధ్రగ్రంథాలయం) పత్రికలో గ్రంథాలయోద్యమానికి సంబంధించిన వ్యాసాలు, గ్రంథాలయాల తాలూకు వార్తలూ, సమాచారాలూ, గ్రంధవిమర్శనలూ, ప్రకటింప బడుతూంటాయి.
సంపాదకులు గ్రంథాలయ శాస్త్రంలో కేవలం పట్టభద్రులు మాత్రమే కాకుండా గ్రంథాలయోద్యమాన్ని నిరాటంకంగా సాగించడానికి పూనుకున్న ఉత్సాహవం తులు. గ్రంథాలయోద్యమం వ్యాపించడం అంటే గ్రామసీమలలో విద్యావ్యాపన జరగడం. అందుకు ఉపకరించే యీ పత్రిక యొక్క ప్రాముఖ్యత సులువుగా గ్రహించవచ్చు. పత్రికలో ఇతర దేశాలలో ఈ ఉద్యమం ఎట్లా వృద్ధి చెందినదీ వివరించడం ఆంధ్రదేశంలో ఉద్యమవ్యాప్తికి తోడుపడుతుంది. గ్రంథాలయోద్యమానికి సంబంధించిన విషయాలు మాత్రమేకాకుండా, గ్రంథాలయశాస్త్ర సంబంధ మైన వర్గీకరణ పద్ధతులూ సూచీవిధానాలు మన దేశానికి అవసరమైన మారుపులు వగయిరా అనేక విషయాలు వివరింప నుద్దేశించడం ప్రశంసనీయం.

పత్రికలో వ్యాసాలన్నీ అనుభవజ్ఞులైన గ్రంథాలయోద్యమాభిమానులు వ్రాసినవి* శ్రీ వెంకటరమణయ్యగారి సంచార గ్రంథాలయాలను గురించిన రేడియో ఉపన్యా సం అవశ్యంగా చదువవలసినది. గ్రంధాలయ వార్తలనుబట్టి దేశంలో జరుగు తూన్న కృషి విశదమవుతుంది.
