2154. అన్నము పెట్టినవారిల్లు కన్నము పెట్టవచ్చునా.

May you break into the house of him who who has fed you ?

Kannam is a hole made by burglars in the wall of a house.

2155. అన్నాలన్నీ సున్నాలు, అప్పాలన్నీ కప్పాలు.

Let all your rice be chunnam and all your cakes frogs! A certain sage was, on account of his eccontricitcs, treatd as crazy fellow and not received into the society. On one occasion irritated by being refused admittance to an entertsainment, he uttered the above imprecation which to the constranation of the assembled company took effect. They begged his pardon, whereupon he restored the same miraculous manner the chhunnam into rice and the frogs into cakes!

2156. అన్ని రుచులూ సరేగాని, అందులో వుప్పు లేదు.

All the flavours are right, but there is no salt in it.

Said of badly prepared food.

2157. అన్నీతెలిశినవాడూ లేడు, యేమీ తెలియనివాడూ లేడు.

There is no one who knows everything, there is no one who knows nothing.

2158. అబద్ధమాడినా గోడ పెట్టినట్టు వుండవలెను.

If you do tell a lie, let it be like a wall.

2159. అభిషేకం, చేశిన అగ్నివలె వున్నాడు.

Like fire inaugurated with water. Abhisheka is the term used for bathing or anointing an idol.

2160. అమావాస్య కూడు నిత్యం దొరుకునా.

Can you get new-moon food everyday? The Hindu law prescribes one meal on the day of new-moon, and it is in consequences a good one.
