2503. బుట్టలో పామువలె అణిగినాడు.
He sank down like a snake in a basket.
i.e. his pride was humbled.

2504. బురద గుంటలో పడ్డ పేడ పురుగు వత్తు.
Like a beetle ( lit. a cowdung warm ) fallen into a mire pit. Said of a man being in an harasing service from which he cannot escape &c.
2505. బూరుగ పంటికి చిలక కాచి వున్నట్టు.
Like a parrot waiting [to eat] a Burugu pod. Burugu or Buraga is silk cotton tree (Eriodendron Anfractuosum).
Vain expectations.
2506. బెల్లము పారవేశి ఆకు నాకినట్టు.
Like throwing away molasses and licking the leaf.
2507. బెల్లము వుండేచోట యీగలు ముసురుతున్నవి.
In the place where there is molasses flies swarm.

2508. బొజ్జను నమ్మి యేట పడ్డట్టు.
Trusting to his corpulency and throwing himself into the river.
2509. బొట్టు కట్టితేనేగాని, ముండమొయ్యదు.
Unless the Bottu be tied, she cannot become a widow.
