2428. నాడు కట్టా లేదు, నేడు చించా లేదు.
Neither on that did I put it on, now on this day have I torn it.

Said by a poor fellow who had never had the pleasure of putting on good cloth or the annoyance of tearingit.
2429. నాడు నిలువబడా లేదు, నేడు యెత్తుబడా లేదు.
I was never rich one day and poor another.

Said by a man who had not experienced the ups and downs of fortune, but had remained in a mediocre state throughout his life.
2430. నాడు వుంటే నవాబు సాయెబు, అన్నము వుంటే అమీరు సాయెబు, బీద పడితే ఫకీరు సాయెబు, చస్తే పీరు సాయెబు.
If he has a country, Nawab sahib; if he has food Amir sahib; If he becomes poor, Fakir sahib; when he dies Pir Sahib. The Musaulman sticks to title of Sahib under all circumstances.
2431. నాడు వ్రాశినవాడు నేడు చెరిపి మళ్ళీ వ్రాస్తాడా.
Will he who wrote at that time, now cancel it and write again?

2432. నాభిలొ పుట్టిన పురుగు వంటి వాడు.
One like a warm born in the Nabhi. Nabhi (Sans.Vatsanabha) is an active vegetable poision, 'th root of Aconite forex brought from Nepal' (Wilson).

2433. నా ముందర నీవేమి బ్రతక గలవు అన్నట్టు.
How can you live before me> What are you when compered with me? Said by a conceited Pandit.
