2110. సిలార్, పిల్లలూ నేను తయార్.

“Silar !” [cried the Chief',] “Ready with my children” [he replied]
When a chieftain called his Mussalman retainer to go and fight the enemy, that worthy replied that he was ready with his family for the flight !
A sham warrior.

2111. సీతకు వ్రాశినది శీమకు వ్రాయవలెనా.

Is the fate of Sita to be common to all?
Sîtâ the wife of Râma suffered much during the greater part of her life.

2112. సుఖము కష్టముకే.

Happiness [is followed by] trouble.
Grief borders on the extremes of gladness. (Latin.)[1]
If you laugh to-day you may cry to-morrow.

2113. సుత్తె ముందా కారు ముందా.

Was the hammer first, or were the tongs?

2114. సున్నము పుట్టని వూళ్లో అన్నము పుట్టునా.

Can food he expected in a village where chunam is refused?
A small quantity of fine chunam ( lime) is eaten with betel leaf.

2115. సున్నములో వున్నది సూక్ష్మము, సూక్ష్మములో వున్నది మోక్షము.

In the chunam is the trick; in the Supreme Soul is salvation.
Chunam is an indispensable accompaniment to betel leaf-The word Sukshma signifies " ingenuity,” "craft" and also "The Supreme Soul, the subtle and invisible spirit that pervades all existence," (Wilson) to know which is salvation.
