TELUGU PROVERBS.
1959. వాడు ఆడినది ఆట, పాడినది పాట.
- What he dances is a dance, what he sings is a song.

1960. వాడు చెప్పినది వసిష్ఠ వాక్యము.
- What he says is Vaśishțha’s dictum.

1961. వాడు యెక్కిరిస్తే నీకు యెక్కడ మొర్రిపోయినది.
- When he mocked you where were you maimed?
- Words break no bones.
1962. వానతో సేగి మొగుడితో పేదరికము లేదు.
- There is no loss by rain, or poverty with a husband.
1963. వానరాకడ, ప్రాణము పోకడ, యెవరికి తెలియదు.
- The coming of rain, and the going of life, are known to none.
- Sorrow an’ ill weather come unsmt for. (Scotch)
- Death keeps no calendar.
1964. వానలు కురిస్తే వాతలు మానునా, బిడ్డలు కంటే రంకులు మానునా.
- If it rains, will brands disappear? If children be born, will adultery be discontinued?
1965. వానలు కురుస్తుంటవి, కప్పలు అరుస్తుంటవి.
- Rain will fall, frogs will croak.
- Said of any thing which must be expected as a matter of course.
