TELUGU PROVERBS.
1937. వడ్డించేవాడు తనవాడు అయితే, కడబంతిని కూర్చున్నా వక్కటే.
- If the person who serves the food is your friend, your sitting at the end won’t matter.
- A friend in court makes the process short.
1938. వడ్డి ఆశ మొదలు చెరుచును, గుడ్డిది ఆలయితే కుండలు చెరుచును.
- By seeking usury, the principal suffers; if the wife be blind, the pots suffer.
1939. వడ్ల గాదెలో పందికొక్కును పెట్టినట్టు.
- Like putting a bandicoot in a corn bin.
1940. వడ్లతోకూడా దాగర యెండ వలశి వచ్చినది.
- The basket must bake in the sun with the paddy.

1941. వడ్ల రాశి వరదబోయినా వానతో శేగి లేదు.

- Engrosscd in pleasure, and blind to danger.
1943. వయసు తప్పినా వయారము తప్పలేదు.
- Though he is old he is still a fop.
