TELUGU PROVERBS.
1829. మొదలు దుర్బలం, అందులో గర్భిణి.
- Weak to begin with and pregnant besides.

- Sick of the idle crisis, and the belly-work in the heel.
1830. మొదలే మన్ను, కరువు వస్తే గడ్డలు.
- Nothing but earth to begin with, and by want of rain, clods.

1831. మొప్పులేని వాడే మొదటి సుజ్ఞాని.
- The man without evil is the best of wise men.
1832. మొప్పెకు మూరెడు నోరు.
- A fool has a mouth a cubit broad.
1833. మొయిలును నమ్మి చెరువు తెగకొట్టినట్టు.
- Trusting to the cloud, he cut open the tank.
- Prematurely giving up what you have, in the hopes of getting more.
1834. మొయిలు విడిచిన యెండా, మొగుడు విడిచిన ముండా, పట్టి విడిచిన మండా, యెత్తి విడిచిన కుండా తీక్ష్ణము.
- The heat of the sun emerging from the clouds-the passion of a meretricious woman separated from her husband - the violence of a bough bent and let go-the force of a pot lifted up and dropped—are great.
- "Give the water no passage; neither a wicked woman liberty to gad abroad." Ecceliasticus xxv. 25.
