TELUGU PROVERBS.
1678. మణులు చెక్కిన సంకెళ్లు.
- Fetters set with gems.

1679. మతి లేని మాట, శ్రుతి లేని పాట.
- A senseless speech, a tuneless song.
1680. మదురు మీది పిల్లి వలె వున్నాడు.
- He is like the cat on the coping.
- i. e. lying steadily in wait.
- Said of a cool, calculating, selfish man.
1681. మనమడు నేర్చుకొన్నట్టు, అవ్వకు దురద తీరినట్టు.
- The grandson learnt his lesson, and the grandmother's itching was taken away.
- The grandmother made her grandson write the alphabet on her back.
- To kill two birds with one stone.

1682. మనమెరగని చెవులకు మద్ది కాయలా.

1683. మనసు మహమ్మేరు దాటుతున్నది, కాలు కడప దాట లేదు.
