TELUGU PROVERBS.
1392. పప్పుతో పది కబళాలు తింటే, పులుసు యెందుకు బుగ్గిలోకా.
- If one gets a few mouthfuls of rice with Dal, why should one want vegetables dressed with acid? To throw among the ashes?
- Said by an epicure.
1393. పప్పులేని పెండ్లీ వుప్పులేని కూరా వున్నదా.
- Is there a marriage without Dal, or a vegetable dressed with out salt?

- Said to a great friend whose presence at an entertainment is indispensable.
1394. పయికము లేనివాడు పరస్త్రీ వర్జితుడు.
- A man without money is chaste.
1395. పయిబడ్డ మాటా, మడి పడ్డ నీళ్లూ పోతవా.
- Will an accusation [be forgotten], will water which falls in a banked field escape ?

1396. పరద్రవ్యాణి బెల్లవత్.
- The property of others is as sweet as molasses.
